Moonshine bottle and cup
For the lonely wildcrafter - Small bottle and cup that can be used with your wilder moonshine if you live in a place where it’s legal to do so. Right??
Meanwhile you can use it to serve your favorite liqueur. Although the bottle seems small, it will hold one cup (250 ml) of firewater. Enough for a hangover if you drink the whole thing.
Made from a mix of local clay and clay mined in Southern California. Lovely texture created by the stones glazes.
Glazes made from rocks collected in the mountains and white “chalk” foraged in the Mojave desert. The rocks are slowly broken and ground by hand into a fine powder then mixed with various amounts of pinyon pine and scrub oak ashes to create different hues. The whole process is quite lengthy, and several firings are often required.
Mixed building techniques – Wheel and hand building
Fired at cone 6 (2200 °F – 1204 °C) using my electric kiln.
