Plate and Pouring Vessel #01

Plate and Pouring Vessel #01

SKU: SKU034
$120.00Price

I recently made a series of custom plates and pouring vessels for Chef Brian Barker and the new restaurant at Perlee Vineyards in Oregon. Only three additional sets were made, which I’m now offering to anyone interested.

Each piece was created from a blend of foraged wild clays, including clay gathered directly from the Perlee Vineyard estate. This was one of my first experiences incorporating clay sent by a chef and restaurant into the work itself — allowing the landscape to become part of the final piece. The result felt deeply connected to the place.

The surfaces were finished with a homemade transparent glaze made from natural materials including ashes and silica, allowing the texture and character of the wild clay to remain visible.

For me, the set feels perfect for a wild food salad with vinaigrette or infused sauces, though I’m sure Chef Brian Barker will transform them into something far more poetic.
