This can be decorative but it's also functional. This is a simple archaic-looking vessel you can use to make ancestral brews. I describe those in my book “The Wildcrafting Brewer”, you can make simple boozy beverages using wild yeast and various plants/fruits in this vessel. I actually used it for one of my alcoholic fermentation workshop.  The design with the “bow” on top act as a sort of swing-top container, it will let the fermentation gases escape but inhibit insects and other things to contaminate your brew. You’ll still need to stir the content twice a day (get the book…). I always place some folded cloth between the top and the main vessel.

It’s also a great decoration item.

Created using a mix of local clay and clay mined in Southern California.
