Wild Clay Serving Dishes
I use similar dishes in my classes, mostly for my wildcrafted ferments. They’re kind of a cross between a bowl and a plate. I only have 3 in stock, on one of them a white stone melted during firing which can happen, probably quartz.
Homemade transparent glaze.
Wild clay from Southern California (Valyermo). The collected clay is reduced into powder using my stone grinder (Molcajete) then water is added to reach the right consistency and make the clay workable.
Fired 3 times at cone 03 (2014 °F – 1100 °C) using my electric kiln.
