Wild Seeds Container
Small vessel used to store and dehydrate some of the wild seeds I collect. Fresh seeds contain a decent amount of water and cannot be stored in a closed vessel or they would rot. I store the seeds in such containers for a couple of months before transferring them to closed jars. Cordage made with yucca fibers on the side tied up to a piece of scrub oak branch so the pot can hang from a backpack or a branch.
Unprocessed clay collected in a dry lake at the property where my pottery studio is located. The collected clay is reduced into powder using my stone grinder (Molcajete) then water is added to reach the right consistency and make the clay workable.
Mixed techniques – wheel and Hand build. Glazed inside and partly glazed outside.
Fired at cone 03 (2014 °F – 1100 °C ) using my electric kiln.
Transparent and white glaze made with natural ingredients (Non-toxic).
Diameter: 3 inches – 7.5 cm
