Black Walnuts Serving Bowl
Beautiful small serving bowl crafted with wild, foraged materials from the Mojave Desert. The texture is reminiscent of the local desert.
Created using a mix of local clay and clay mined in Southern California.
Glaze made from pine and oak ashes and white “chalk” foraged in the Mojave desert near Valyermo, California. Waterproof and tested for leaks.
Made using a wheel and stone tools
Fired at cone 6 (2200 °F – 1204 °C) using my electric kiln.
