Rustic Drinking Vessel #4
Works well for pretty much any drinks – morning coffee, mugwort beer, elderberry wine or spring water. Beautiful texture created by the impurities in the clay and glaze made from natural ingredients foraged locally. You can also use it as a display piece.
Clay is a mix of mountain dirt (Valyermo) and commercial clay.
Glaze made with Mojave desert chalk ground by hand using my molcajete (stone grinder). Chalk is mixed with local water, mugwort beer vinegar and xantham gum to make it easier to apply with a brush.
Fired at Cone 6 - 2200°F (1200°C) in my electric kiln.
