Rustic Wild Sauerkraut Bowl
This one is very special. This Wilder Sauerkraut Bowl is crafted with clay and rock pebbles sourced from a unique rock formation in the desert near St. Andrew's Abbey in Valyermo, creating an exceptionally textured and rough surface that speaks to its origins. The bowl’s rugged, uneven exterior and embedded rock fragments capture the raw essence of the desert landscape, making each piece distinctly individual. Perfect for serving your favorite ferment, cereals or side dish.
Leak-tested. The textured surface requires extra care when hand-cleaning.
Wheel and stones tools.
Glaze made with local ashes (Pine and Oak)
Fired at Cone 6 - 2200°F (1200°C) in my electric kiln.
