Shamanic Brewing Vessel

Shamanic Brewing Vessel

SKU: SKU042
$350.00Price

I used that one in a workshop last summer, it was about brewing using components found in the local forest such as mugwort, willow bark/leaves, yarrow, sagebrush, horehound, wild mint, turkey tail mushrooms, oak bark and any other things that were used in ancient times. Pretty much a prehistoric Celtic brew.

This vessel is for a cold fermentation (no boiled ingredients). Mugwort and yarrow have slightly psychotropic effects (dream enhancement or lucid dreaming) but all these plants have also medicinal uses.

Unprocessed wild clay foraged in the mountains. Fired 3 times in an electric kiln. Homemade white and transparent glaze.

Mugwort stick on top, the bow creates pressure so not too much oxygen will enter the vessel.

One layer of cotton cloth between the top and the vessel. This creates a better seal. The cloth was dyed with pinyon pine cone ink.

Brewing style based on my book "The Wildcrafting Brewer" available on amazon or your local bookstores.
