Small Valyermo "Kimchi" Bowl
One of my favorite bowls. Its surface echoes the land around Valyermo, California—dry hills, wind, and time written into the clay.
A medium-sized bowl, well suited for side dishes. Here it holds a wildcrafted ferment made with foraged mustards, bok choy, and wild grains, though it also works beautifully for a mix of wild grains, rice, and wild chervil.
The bowl comes with willow chopsticks.
Made from clay mixed with desert soil gathered in Valyermo, California.
Finished with a homemade glaze made from ashes collected after the Bridge Fire.
Fired in my electric kiln at cone 6
(2200°F / 1204°C)
