Tumbleweed Mustard Seeds Cup

 
I used this cup to store some of the wild seeds I collected. It’s a simple, rustic cup inspired by the landcape. Its rough texture and speckled surface make it feel like it came straight from the wild. Great for holding small items, using as a unique serving piece, or just displaying as a little piece of nature. This cup brings the raw beauty of the land into your hands.

Hand Built and stones tools.

Glaze made with Mojave desert chalk ground by hand using my molcajete (stone grinder) – mixed with pine and oak ashes.

Clay is a mix of mountain dirt (Valyermo) and commercial clay.

Fired at Cone 6 - 2200°F (1200°C) in my electric kiln.
