Valhalla Drinking Vessel – 004
These vessels were made specifically for my wild beers brewed with local wild plants such as mugwort and yarrow. Those brews were inspired by old Nordic and Vikings recipes hence the name.
Definitely an interesting rustic look and I took my inspiration from the cracked rocks found in the Mojave desert. These vessels are unusual but a good representation of my local terroir.
You can also use them as small vases and you can also drink all kinds of liquids from them, not just wild beers.
Made with Desert clay/dirt mixed with clay mined in Southern California
Glaze from local chalk and ashes (Pine and oak)
Mixed techniques - Coiling, hands & stones
Fired at 2200F (Cone 6)
