Wild Snack Cup #002

Medium sized cup, perfect for a little snack with boiled wild grains and tasty herbs, a sort of wild version of tabouli. Beautiful colors created by the rocks and ashes glazes.
 
Made from a mix of local clay and clay mined in Southern California.
 
Glazes made from white “chalk” foraged in the Mojave desert. The chalk is ground by hand into a fine powder then mixed with various amounts of pinyon pine and scrub oak ashes to create different hues. Homemade white glaze inside. The whole process is quite lengthy, and several firings are often required.
 
Hand building – Pinch method
 
Fired at cone 6 (2200 °F – 1204 °C) using my electric kiln.

Priority mail takes two to five days to deliver in the US. International orders may take much longer to arrive.
