Wilder Kimchi Bowl

Wilder Kimchi Bowl

SKU: SKU003
$85.00Price

Designed for some of the ferments I make using local wild plants. The chopsticks are made of recycled dead mule fat (Baccharis salicifolia) branches - mule fat is a flowering shrub that is native to the southwestern United States, northern Mexico, and parts of South America.

Glaze made with Mojave desert chalk ground by hand using my molcajete (stone grinder). Chalk is mixed with local water, mugwort beer vinegar and xantham gum to make it easier to apply with a brush.

Clay is a mix of mountain/desert dirt (Valyermo) and commercial clay.

Fired at Cone 6 - 2200°F (1200°C) in my electric kiln.

Average specifications:
Diameter: 5 Inches (13 cm)
Height: 2.5 Inches (6.5 cm)
Weight: 8 ounces (232 gr)

Don't forget to read the section about pottery care.
